Therapists get own sit-to-stand aid.

A new sophisticated personal aid is now part of equipment at the Rehab/Stroke Unit, thanks to the Friends. For the first time therapy staff working in the unit’s gymnasium have their own sit-to-stand aid, costing £1,207. Physiotherapist, Caroline Bird, said, “It’s brilliant that we no longer have to borrow an aid like this from a ward, to complete assessments and transfers.” “Our efficiency is improved as we longer have to search elsewhere for an aid, and perhaps wait for it to become available.” Therapists of the Rehab/Stroke Unit and the new patient transfer equipment, demonstrated by Caroline Bird.
