Friends Fund £998.36 for various Toys and Equipment to Children’s Speech and Language Therapy.

The resources and toys identified in the application list support the Children’s SLT Service to continue to provide a high quality and effective service. The resources mean that the children will be engaged in therapy as well as it supports the team to provide resources for parents, carers and staffs to further facilitate the children’s communication skills development in all their contexts.

We have been very grateful for the funding of resources from the Friends of St Mary’s Hospital. We use these resources with our children to deliver therapy. We have lots of children who have great communication skills but have difficulty with speech production and so are very difficult to understand. These resources have been instrumental in supporting these children with targeted speech sound interventions and helps deliver a range of therapy styles and creates more interesting therapy sessions.
