Friends Fund new Little Anne’s Combo £1679.72

Early recognition and early introduction of effective CPR, followed by early defibrillation and post resuscitation care are known as the chain of survival and are vital in case of cardiac arrest. Staff to do yearly resuscitation training to update their competency and keep patients safe but there is evidence to suggest that practicing skills more often is better. The aim is to get as many people as possible confident in delivering good quality CPR and using a defibrillator.

Gavin Williams, Resuscitation Support Officer kindly let us know:

These new manakins will make it a lot easier to go and deliver CPR training in other departments, when necessary, as well as help us to engage with the public and raise awareness of how to recognise and treat Cardiac Arrest. We have a couple of jobs lined up for them already so maybe you’ll spot us out and about with them!
